Indigenous Justice Studies

Program Description
In this 11-month Certificate program, learners prepare for an exciting career in the justice sector by increasing their knowledge about the structures and processes in the Canadian justice system. The challenges and issues that affect Indigenous people are also examined through a critical thinking lens with an emphasis on decolonization. From an Indigenous perspective, cultural values and beliefs are key components in our curriculum aimed at helping Indigenous people involved with the justice system.

University Transfer
The Indigenous Justice Studies Certificate program is transferrable to Simon Fraser University (25 Credits) and Nicola Valley Institute of Technology (24 Credits). Please refer to their admission requirements.
