Indigenous Infant and Toddler Educator
Credential: Diploma Ι Credits: 32.0 Ι Offered: September to April
Program Description
In this 8-month Diploma program, learners prepare for a rewarding career to work with infants and toddlers by learning the basic knowledge and skills about their behaviours, cognitive development, and emotional needs. Further studies include learning how to incorporate the Indigenous perspective while planning and delivering programs in an infant and toddler childcare centre. After completing this program, graduates can work in a childcare centre as an Infant and Toddler Educator.
The first step after graduation is applying to the Early Childhood Educator Registry for the Infant and Toddler certificate to practice in British Columbia. This provides you with the opportunity to earn higher wages and work alongside a Certified Infant and Toddler Childhood Educator.
