Program Description

In this 11-month Certificate program, learners are introduced to the general theory and develop their foundational skills in psychology and trauma counselling. Most importantly, learners are encouraged to understand their self-identity, culture, and history – essentially creating a strong sense of well-being in order to communicate and help other Indigenous people with overcoming personal barriers.

This certificate program can be applied towards the Family and Community Counselling Diploma program at NEC. Please contact the Student Advisor for more information.
