Aboriginal Special Needs Educator
Program Description
In this 8-month Diploma program, learners prepare for a rewarding career to work with children who have extra support needs. The 200-level courses are completed over two academic terms covering theory and practice in advanced child growth and development, Indigenous health care, and augmentative communication. After completing this program, graduates can work in a childcare centre as a Special Needs Educator.
You can apply to the Early Childhood Registry to become a Certified Special Needs Educator after completing the program.
Both the Aboriginal Infant and Toddler and Aboriginal Special Needs Diploma programs can be taken at the same time for a cost and time savings.

The credits earned in the Aboriginal Infant and Toddler Diploma program is transferrable to Capilano University or NYTEP at the University of British Columbia.

- Two Reference Letters
- Doctor's Note of Good Health
- TB Test Results (Negative)
