Palliative Care


Program Description

Building on the foundational skills and knowledge gained from completing a Health Care Assistant Program, students can take this advanced training in Palliative Health Care to provide hospice care for clients with serious illnesses. This training includes a cultural component by using medicine wheel teachings covering the four areas of the physical, emotional, spiritual and mental well-being of a person.

This program also identifies and examines traditional and non-traditional approaches to providing care for palliative care clients in rural and urban communities.
