Are you looking to upgrade your biology courses? We offer Biology 110 and 120 (Human Anatomy & Physiology I and II), which you'll gain your prerequisites towards the Health Care Assistant Program.

 

Course Descriptions

Biology 110: Anatomy and Physiology I

This course deals with the relationship between structure and function in the human body. Lectures will introduce students to basic concepts in biology and the anatomy and role of the major organ systems of the human body Laboratory activities include microscopic examination of cells, tissues, organ structures, investigations of human anatomy, and experiments in the functioning of the human senses, and muscles, as well as dissections of selected organs.

 

Biology 120: Anatomy and Physiology II

This course deals with the relationship between structure and function in the human body. Lectures continue to investigate the role of the major organ systems of the human body. Laboratory activities include microscopic examination of cells, tissues and organ structures, investigations of human anatomy, and experiments in the functioning of the respiratory and circulatory systems.

Students who have Biology 110: Anatomy and Physiology I or equivalent can qualify to take this course on its own at cost of $500.

This pair of courses is meant for students progressing to health care related fields such as nursing, and dental hygiene.
