Each workshop is guided by 2 Elders and will oer a holistic and traditional approach to teaching about important topics such as family violence, the medicine wheel, and relationship boundaries.

This free program, starting in February 2012, is a part of the Aboriginal nonprofit leadership series (a noncredit professional development program).  The course is free for staff from urban Aboriginal organizations that are members of the Metro Vancouver Aboriginal Executive Council

Some of the topics covered will include HR programs, staff selection & retention, performance assesment process, and employee coaching methods.

In the fall of 2010, we began a collaborative and interactive strategic planning process to develop a framework that will guide our College from 2011 to 2016. The result of our work is this ‘Strategic Directions Plan’ that provides a clear vision of where we want to go and how we will get there.

The Board of Directors of the NEC Native Education College (NEC) is considering the move from its status as a private non-profit society towards a public provincial college within the British Columbia (BC) public post-secondary education system. This change is supported by the BC Government for NEC to be the flagship Aboriginal college in the system.
