The Family Violence Centre (FVRC) was developed in response to the needs of Aboriginal communities to have access to current family violence and sexual abuse resources and materials. The mandate of the FVRC is to provide First Nations Family violence related information and services to all people of BC and additional counseling services to First Nations youth and their families within the Lower Mainland.

The Family Violence Resource Centre is funded through Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH). This funding is obtained under the umbrella of the Sexual Abuse Intervention Programs (SAIP).

The Family Violence Resource Centre provides:

Information and Referral Services;
Educational resources
Free confidential counseling (on site and in the community) to Aboriginal youth and their families. Counseling is provided in a safe and culturally sensitive manner to individuals, couples and families
Workshops on a variety of topics
A large selection of resource videos and books for lending. The complete list of available titles can be viewed by selecting the file of your choice below. You may view them on-line or print copies for reference.
