Educational Outreach Programs

The Native Education College works with First Nations and Aboriginal community agencies to deliver accredited post-secondary and adult basic education programs in locations throughout British Columbia. The Community Services department combines academic excellence with a strong commitment to First Nations community-based education. Curriculum has been designed, developed & delivered with a focus upon our First Nations perspectives. We also partner with local public colleges to ensure educational excellence in the delivery of programs.

Learning Futures

“Learning Futures” is a one-day workshop about developing and implementing a community education plan. Learning Futures workshop facilitators are specialists in Aboriginal Education at a post-graduate level.

Educational Outreach Program

Many Aboriginal communities and organizations have facilities and staff who can offer post-secondary training. The NEC Native Education College establishes partnerships with communities which allow them to use our curriculum resources to provide programs of study accredited with the Private Careers Training Institute Agency (PCTIA) and articulated with many colleges and universities in BC.

FirstHost

FirstHost is a one-day tourism workshop that is delivered throughout BC. Participants learn about the hospitality business and the special importance of the host, guest and place relationship.
